The SD2000 range of Duplexers are designed to provide a matching facility between a single transmitter and it's aerial, whilst at the same time providing an uninterrupted broadcast radio take-off from the same aerial.
The optimum performance level of any covert radio is dependant upon a good system match between the aerial and it's radio. The SD2000 Multiplexer, is in fact an covert aerial tuning unit that allows an aerial to be "matched" to the radio system to optimise it's performance, although no on-site tuning is required by the end user as the unit is factory preset to the desired frequency band.
In order to maintain this enhanced performance it is necessary to minimise insertion losses through the system. The SD2000 is designed with a very low insertion loss factor of less than 0.5 at VHF. This, together with it's capability to correct SWR mismatches of up to 3:1 to better than 1.5:1, makes the SD2000 Multiplexer a powerful tool in the enhancement of any radio system.
