Our Customer Commitments

Furthermore, we have been selected as a training partner for MOD and British Embassy radio engineers. Our Senior Radio Engineers are highly specialised in the design and calibration of Motorola radio system; over the previous two years we have successfully designed and installed over twenty five systems worldwide.

It is our understanding of the typical stages that has allowed us to build strong working relationships with our existing client and their operational staff on power station and large construction projects – relationships that we hope to build on in the future.
We have a dedicated hire desk to fulfil all functions of the hire process seamlessly as according to your Terms & Conditions.
SFL offer an exchange of faulty equipment within 24 hours either by courier or via a field engineer, depending on the most efficient method. All employees follow an escalation process to control and monitor this process.
SFL are a member of the FCS Silver Award scheme for Hirers of radio equipment.
Supply Chain Selection
SFL have a minimal supply chain, operating directly with radio manufacturers for the supply of radio equipment. Radio peripherals are purchased directly from RS components who will provide full COSSH data and any other official information regarding the safe use of the components.
Our policy is to only supply OEM products from the radio manufacturers such as Motorola, Icom, Kenwood, Tait, Peltor and Sordin in order to maintain the quality of our radio fleet investment. We will not provide any third party manufactured products unless they are fully approved by the manufacturer as not to compromise the quality of our fleet – we are passionate on protecting the quality of our fleet.
Being a customer led business, our team take customer feedback extremely seriously in order to design and implement improvements. In order to create a competitive advantage, we appreciate customer feedback to be crucial.
We have a Customer Relationship Management software which every engineer and account manager has access to in order to obtain feedback the customer is called 1 month following their order (if we have not had contact prior to this timescale), to obtain feedback. The feedback is then logged and any amendments SFL can change to improve upon is discussed in internal monthly team meetings and implemented where applicable.
We have regular monthly and quarterly meetings with the procurement departments of our Key Accounts and we encourage any form of feedback that may lead to an improvement within the business.
Our field staff are actively encouraged to obtain feedback whilst being on site with the end user. An example of an improvement we feel has been made recently as a result of customer criticism to Neil Bethell (SFL Field Engineer):
- Problem Discussed: the operatives on a power station found it difficult to see and therefore locate their portable radio if they placed it down in dull lit environment.
- Solution: to design and print a high visibility heavy duty label to cover the front of the radio with a space for the radio ID to be printed when distributed by the customer.
This solution was implemented early in 2012 and though simple, has proved a success in the combat against losses
