SFL Mobile Radio is delighted to continue supporting the Wirral Bazaar in the vital fight against cancer.
Last year’s two-day Wirral Bazaar event raised over £50,000 that went directly to North West Cancer Research to help fund life-saving cancer research projects in Merseyside and Cheshire.
With over 3500 visitors and 70 stallholders at the Thornton Manor Christmas shopping extravaganza, communication is essential for event organisers.
When we heard about the success of our two-way radios at last year’s event, SFL had no hesitation donating more kit for this year’s Wirral Bazaar. Chair of the Wirral Bazaar committee Kate Williams hailed SFL’s ‘invaluable’ support to help ensure another successful fundraising event.
She said: “The radios allow the volunteer committee to communicate between themselves and, importantly, with the volunteers marshalling the car parking areas to make the parking, which is mainly field parking, as efficient as possible. This is vital as mobile signal is poor.
“To remain in contact with each key member of the committee and volunteers was essential as we were able to deal with any issues that arose promptly and efficiently which meant our visitors had a great experience.
“SFL have been incredibly helpful. We couldn’t recommend them highly enough.”
The Wirral Bazaar started almost 30 years ago, born from a group of friends wanting to take action and help in the fight against cancer. In that time, over £364,000 has been raised for North West Cancer Research.
Last year’s event was the most successful to date with over 70 handpicked stalls from the Wirral and across the UK offering unique and beautiful Christmas gifts such as food, drink and other exclusive products not found on the high street. Stalls kindly donate 10% of their takings giving shoppers the opportunity to give to charity whilst doing their Christmas shopping.
The 2018 Wirral Bazaar will be held in the Walled Garden Marquee at Thornton Manor on Tuesday 6th November 2pm – 9pm and Wednesday 7th November 9:30am – 3pm.
