SFL Continues Supplying Radios to MadiganGill

As an industry leading logistics service provider into the construction industry; MadiganGill understand the importance of good communication in the logistics chain. Speaking with Senior Buyer Collum Montgomery he explained:

‘Communication is key throughout all aspects of construction, from communications between traffic marshals ensuring members of public are kept safe, to cranes blind lifting with skilled operators and slingers. No corners can be cut when it comes to safety so we rely on our supply chain to ensure our radios are always of a high quality and maintained throughout the project.’

 

With project lengths varying widely MadiganGill choose to both hire and purchase radios depending on the most cost effective option. One key advantage to the hire is that the radios can be used on SFL’s hirer licence until the technically assigned licences come through.

Moving onto the subject of Radio quality and the service he receives from SFL Collum further detailed:

‘the radios we receive from SFL are always of a very high quality. We use both Motorola and Hytera dependant on the clients specification and budgets for the project’

‘As a group with 36 live logistics sites, 7 live construction sites and over 1000 labourers on site every day, our procurement team are very busy. I therefore rely heavily on using my supply chain and their expertise to relieve some pressure. I can get on with other thing knowing that SFL; with both Steve and Margaret who are my main points of contact, will sort everything out for me including license application, keeping me updated on its progress and arranging the exchange from hire to purchase as and when its required without having to worry about any additional charges. Nothing is too much for them and appreciate all that the SFL team do for us. The site engineers are also very good, when there is an issue on site they are there within 24 hours to identify the fault, come up with a solution and remedy it in the quickest and most cost effective way.
