Wincanton use digital two-way radios at Heinz storage site

SFL supply and maintain digital two-way mobile radio communications for the Heinz storage site in Wigan, Lancashire which is operated by Wincanton at a vast National Distribution Centre covering 38 acres.

SFL Mobile Radio has provided digital mobile radio communications for their packaging and logistic plant to increase customer productivity and to operate safe and precise communication between two large internal warehouses which are involved in the transportation of 80 million packages per year.

A digital Motorola repeater radio system has been installed complete with antenna incorporating Motorola DP4800 digital radios with extended life batteries to operate throughout long shifts. The radio system offers extensive coverage to all operatives throughout site.
